In today's IoT and Smart City circuts security has become the next development.

The shift is in the following areas with project interest:

Attacks in Wireless Network Sensors

Main focus of the project is to describe the characteristics of attacks and their countermeasures in WSNs.Workshop

• the multi-dimensional relationship among various properties including the effectiveness of these attacks (i.e., caused damage),
• the resources needed by adversaries to accomplish their intended attacks (i.e., consumed energy and time), and the resources required to defend against these attacks (i.e., energy overhead).

Further measures in consideration:
Security and Attacks in Advance Metering System

AMI is not a single technology implementation, but rather a fully configured infrastructure that must be integrated into existing and new utility processes and applications.
This infrastructure includes home network systems, including communicating thermostats and other in-home controls and smart meters. As AMI provides a very “ intelligent” step toward modernizing the entire power system, expectation is high with quality:

• the multi-dimensional relationship among various properties including the effectiveness of these attacks (i.e., caused damage),
• the resources needed by adversaries to accomplish their intended attacks (i.e., consumed energy and time),
• and the resources required to defend against these attacks (i.e., energy overhead).

• Computer Networks and Communications: Next-Generation Internet, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Named Data Networking (NDN), Cyber Security, Anomaly Detection, and Intrusion Detection Systems
• Data Science: Computational Intelligence and Machine Learning disciplines, Meta-heuristic Optimization, Uncertainty Visualization, and Big Data Analytics

The advance of the technology gives the ability to integrate a large number of cores on a single chip. On-chip networks seek to provide a scalable and high-bandwidth communication substrate for multi-core and many-core architectures. High bandwidth and low latency within the on-chip network must be achieved while fitting within tight area and power budgets. To evaluate and analyse the performance metrics of on-chip networks under different scenarios (e.g. various Traffic Patterns/ Topology / Routing / Flow Control).
